New Business:
Ellen shared the sad news of the passing of Len Mitchell. He had organized the Sheridan Shores Singers; they performed at our 2004 Festival in Waukegan. Their group is looking to align with an established club such as our Heritage Boat Club. There are no objections from any board member if this can be beneficial to the singing group. Ellen will contact Laura Kurz from the CCYC to inquire about using the yacht club for rehearsal space.
In memory of Aldis Darre; Laura Kurz contacted the Heritage Boat Club about holding a commemorative sail in early August in honor of her father who died last year. Laura to follow up on contacting members with details.
Items of interest to the club and its members:
Ellen F encourages members of HBC to visit South Haven and take a sail on Friends Good Will. They sail three times a day, Wednesday through Sunday. See her for brochures on this ship.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:40pm.
